ETV Power Women : Season 2

                          The highly-acclaimed show is back for another season on ETV

ETV announces the launch of the 2nd Season of the highly successful talk show ETV Power Women.

The revolutionary show that brought the lives of the successful ladies of Sri Lanka is back for a 

secondseason. ETV Power Women is a production of Vanguard Management Services (Pvt) Ltd.

ETV Power Women: Season 2, like the previous season, features successful ladies leading illustrious

careers and exciting lives. We feature women who have achieved the pinnacle of success through 

yearsof hard work in their respective fields.

"With the second series of ETV Power Women, we once again attempt to get under the skin of Sri

Lanka's most successful women. 'Power' is a word bandied about a lot, so we like to give our viewers 

a refreshing perspective of that word through interviews with a series of impressive women 

who'verisen to the top, not only through their diverse personalities and tastes, but through their 

diligence, hard work, perseverance and vision," says Prasad Pereira, the producer of the show.

To put a twist to things, in this season, we focused on women who have given back to society 

through social service. So season 2 features doctors, educators, social workers, activists and also 

articles who have succeeded in signaificant change in Sri Lanka and their respective fields. They 

have all contributed to the welfare of our society and have made an indelible mark on the social 

landscape of Sri Lanka.

The delightful Minoli Rathnayake, continues to be the host of the show. Her wit and her cheerfulness 

make her the ideal host. Ameena Hussein, author & publisher, said, "Talking to Minoli was like 

having a chat with my best mate. The program is a wonderful vehicle to showcase women and I am 

honoured that I was asked to be on it."

* Caryl Tozer - Beauty queen & Co-founder of Women-in-Need

* Ameena Hussein - Author & publisher

* Maureen Seneviratne - Writer, journalist & chairperson of PEACE

* Sigrid De Silva - Senior Dietitian & Nutrition Consultant

ETV Power Women: Season 2 will air every Friday @ 8pm with repeats on Sat @ 4pm, Wed @ 

10am, Fri @ 6pm and on Sat @ 10am.
